COVID-19 UPDATE March 27, 2020
AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR TRADE CUSTOMERS
Firstly, we hope that yourself, your team and your families are all keeping safe and healthy in these uncertain times.
At this time, we are still operating as usual following the regulations outlined by the Government. We will be following the advice given by government authorities as the situation evolves and will advise customers as necessary of any changes to our business operation.
We are currently experiencing some delays/changes due to COVID-19 complications. Our lead times have been altered and delivery options have been impacted as well. Please be aware of the following updates regarding delivery;
Local freight: There may be a delay with local transit time, as there is a possibility that freight companies will experience a shortage in staff and drivers due to illness. There will also be changes to the standard procedure when stock is being delivered to you. As social distancing is now enforced by transport companies, we may be unable to provide Proof of Delivery as minimal contact between the driver and receiver is now required.
Airfreight: As there are currently reductions in the number of flights that are coming into Australia, we are unable to advise on, or commit to ETA’s on airfreight orders at this time.
Seafreight: Seafreight transit time has been extended by approximately one week. This is due to a reduction in the number of vessels leaving China every week and current port regulations in Sydney.
Backorders: When we receive stock we have been waiting on we will check with customers if they still require backorders before we ship.
At this point in time local production of decoration remains in full production which means we can still supply embroidered, laser engraved and printed products without difficulty. We also have some exciting new developments planned in this area so stay tuned!
Pricelist: As a consequence of recent financial disruptions there has been a massive drop in the value of the Australian Dollar which will force changes to our pricelist, which will be released over the next two weeks.
We are working towards implementing an online ordering portal for our trade customers and will also keep you advised when this is ready to go live.
