We hope this finds you all safe and well. With the continual fluidity of the Covid position across the East Coast we wanted to reach out to you to share some of the details of what we as a business are experiencing and how this effects your business.
Many freight providers across the country have experienced some form of Covid breaches across their supply chain which has resulted in temporary closures of their operations. Subsequently this adds significant pressures onto other carriers resulting in unavoidable delays in freight. Unfortunately, it is not just one carrier experiencing these types of difficulties it is most and we would expect to see these trends continue for the foreseeable future.
Across the entire supply chain from production through to to delivery we are seeing increased delays. Almost every supplier is experiencing issues with obtaining materials and there are backlogs at major cargo terminals resulting in further shipping delays. That said, we have an extremely strong product supply in place between now and Christmas to ensure that we can continue to meet your demand throughout this period.
For those of you not aware of Sydney's geography, our workplace is located in one of the LGAs "of concern" and subject to a number of very strict regulations. Thankfully we have not experienced any Covid breaches to date and have been managing the workplace to ensure that we are doing everything we possibly can to avoid transmission by strict adherence to all mandatory health orders and ensuring strong adherence to our Covid Safe business plan.
As part of our Covid Safe plan we are only on site a few days a week and working from home the others which still allows us to keep up with demand and to fulfil orders in a timely manner.
No doubt you can appreciate this is an extremely fluid situation and changing daily however the objective of this email is to summarise our current position and to manage expectations moving forward. We will continue to update you around any further changes as the situation evolves.
